More information on #362 Clarvox auricle

This auricle has a bundle of wires attached to a tube which is fixed inside the ear tube near the base of the horn.

My attention to this was drawn by ENT specialist Dr Roelf M Backus in the Netherlands.

Our early emails may be read.

Roelf asked me to re-photograph my auricle so that he could compare it with the one he has which also has wires.

The pictures clearly show the wires inside my auricle.

I did some research on the metal wires in the ear cornets. I have come to the following conclusion:

1. to prevent small objects (rings, coins, hairpins, earrings) from getting stuck, for example while carrying in a ladies' bag.

2. quackery
