seller note | This is a perfect example of a simple though pretty hearing aid, ear trumpet or sonotone that may have been made anywhere between 1890 and 1930. The maker is Audios, who were the inventors of Xenolite, an imitation tortoiseshell, in the mid to late 19th Century. This would appear to be made of Xenolite. The trumpet measures approx 30 cm long. It has the shape of an elongated sea-shell, setting it apart from the more basic models. It still retains its original label that tells about its scientific manufacture, and is embosed on the back |
