| We gathered to count the Packington Collection ear trumpets in the museum. View the YouTube video. Gracious and enthusiastic help was provided by all, but special mention to: Alan Humphries at the Thackray Museum Leeds. Emma-Kate Lanyon at Shrewsbury Museum. Barry Reading for doing the video. After a hiccup on the first shelf, we managed to count 359 certified ear trumpets . 29 were quarantined by Alan and I based on our knowledge of fakes and the Guinness use of the Wikipedia definition.
